As with many foods, you can make it healthy or no. it is healthy in that coleslaw's main ingrediant is raw cabbage. The mayo isn't so good for you, but you can get healthier mayos too.
if you are talking about coleslaw as a deperate attempt to eat at a restaurant with meat-eaters, than its better than french fries!-)

Make your own. Just slice cabbage and carrots into matchsticks and mix with nonfat plain yogurt, lemon juice, and a little sugar. Traditionally it is made with mayo, but that's really fattening, and besides it has eggs (although I don't know if you're vegan or vegetarian). Coleslaw is a side dish, though...I wouldn't recommend it as a sole source of nutrition in a meal...try it with a veggie burger.

because coleslaw usually contains mayo, it's not very healthy. to make it less UNhealthy, you could try making it with low-fat mayo. or change the dressing altogether to a vinaigrette.

Make cole slaw without mayo. There are recipes on line that use vinegar/soy sauce instead and it's just as good. If you must use mayo, use a reduced fat one and don't use alot.
