Its round oval shapped with a sphear in the middle they are really expensive in those chinese dry food stores where they sell ginseng, soup materials, tea and stuff its called like "hoi mei" So what is this food called in english called in cantonese "bao yu"

If I'm not mistaken.. you mean "Bao Yu" as 鮑魚~

It's a type of shellfish found in many parts of the world. It has an unusual name called the, "Abalone."

It's not bad, I like it I suppose. But I much rather have Shark Fin soup. Mmm Mmm, 真好味!!

I thought it is scallop, but it's acutally abalone.
