There are alot of pros and cons whether to be a vegetarian or not. For me the high price of meat at 1980 or a tad before then
was the thing that caused me to become Vegetarian. I never really cared all that much for meat anyhow. Also I never liked see
the blood from meat. I use to vomit whenever I saw that. If you really like meat you'll never give it up entirely! For me I remain a vegetarian because it made me healthier. Meat was clogging my arteries when I was a meat eater. Not everyone is cut out to be a Meat eater and Not everyone is cut out to be a Vegetarian.
If you want to know pros and cons about vegetarian you can go to the 7th day Adventist Church.. someone there would like be most pleased to help you become a vegetarian.. 7th day Adventists are not against meat eaters.but They are against eating Pork but many believe Vegetarians are Blessed! If your not sure of being a Vegetarian.. go to your local library or bookstore and find books on it! www.easy-vegetarian-meals.com might help you become vegetarian another Complete Idiot's Guide to Being Vegetarian. another The Complete Vegetarian Handbook get this thru www.ecampus/book! The pros are: 1. No animals have to die unnecessarily
2. Less chance of getting sick (mad cow, salmonella, e-coli, etc...)
3. Better digestion (due to the fact that meat is hard for the body to digest)
4. Weight loss (I lost 20 pounds)
5. No guilt when you see a PETA ad
6. You don't feel like hypocrite when you become upset at the thought that dogs and cats are food in some countries
7. Vegetarians smell better (lots of vegetarians think that meat eaters have a funny odour)
8. Vegetarianism is a good conversation starter
9. Pigs are smarter than dolphins and some primates and their intelligence has been compared to that of a three year old child
10. Animals aren't ours to cage, control, kill and eat (What makes people so superior?)

The cons are: Sorry can't think of any. Go Veggie!

ur healthy but u lack protein so there's constantly risks for being less healthier. Also, if ur strict vegetarian, you can't have certain foods that u didn't think about before which you might like. its good if ur trying to lose weight the healthy and best way. Just be careful.

These are not the pros and cons most people would list, but these are my pros and cons:

Veg Pro: less cancer, less diabetes, less heart disease, less obesity, longer lifespan, it is cheaper to buy veggies than to buy meat, plus not eating the blood, veins, fat, skin, and flesh of dead animals.

Veg Con: risk of vitamin deficiency. Honestly can't think of anything else negative.
