I am going to be shopping for flatware that is on sale at IKEA this weekend and would like to know if anyone has purchased their flatware before. If so, was it flimsy or sturdy? The designer is Maria Vinka.

Some of the stuff they have can be pretty flimsy but we bought several sets of the set design named"FORNUFT" when we had a big dinner and it has been really fine. You have to pick and choose carefully when you shop there.

We still use it everyday and have had no problems....For one thing it's one piece construction so there are no handles or anything to come loose. They also have great dinner napkins especially the big white ones . And they have some nice dinner plates for around .50cents.

You can shop from home by looking it up on-line at www.ikea.com.

depends on what u get.. the lesser priced flatware can be cheap. If your willing to spend more, then you getting into better quality. Other places to check if your looking for quality flatware, but reasonable: Marshalls & TJMaxx or a discount store of the like...

Just my 2 cents...

Everything at IKEA has the european flare to it! So its not the strudiest of things-but is ALWAYS of very nice quality!
