I'm an only child, and I love entertaining and meeting new people. I guess the fact that I didn't have siblings in a weird way made me more social. I can talk to anybody. Working events or waitressing, no problem. Just gab!

It doesn't matter. Robin Williams was an only child and he is very funny.....I have a very famous cousin, with a brother, and I think it has served her well as far as family goes. It depends upon the individual now don't you think so?I have wondered this...as the eldest originally of 9...yes...NINE....i am a writer. Not a celeb in the way you are thinking of it.....perhaps do some bio reading ...or mini bios on the net and see what you thin. I don't think you can grade perfomance on a bell curve and I see not particular answer defining yes or no.
It is your call.

Probably. becasue you get to talk to your siblings and you end up making jokes and laughing at hilarious things and stuff like that, whereas growing up alone you don't have someone to talk to, unless your parents are your best friends(which probably isn't true), and the so called "jokes" that your parents make up aren't the best because they are from the 60's and 80's.. NOT saying anything about the ones older than i am, but it's kind of true, the jokes from back then have been around longer and arn't as funny as the ones that are being made by us teenagers.

True, your family like mine never understand your sence of humour, or in my case my 2 sisters try to keep me from talking altogether, I can tell jokes, have a repitore of voices and accents, I feel I am the life of the party.

But if there all try to stifle your ability to entertain, it is easier to find new friend than the same old wallfower and prudish family, I have had more fun at funeral homes and autopsy's

Not necessarily, I think that it just depends on the person not what family your from or where your from or how many siblings you grew up with! So it really does not matter it's all about you!

Depends on the person and the family and perhaps also on birth order. Certainly it helps to have an audience. Every family has its pathology and pecking order. Siblings provide other challenges and opportunities.

No I think it's opposite, children who grow up alone must entertain themselves and when they get around others they are most certainly entertaining.

It would seem so, but also I think it depends on your upbringing. Our parents were never home and always working, so all my sisters are great cooks and entertainers, because we had to learn at an early age.

I don't agree. I have a couple of sisters who could use a little personality. I don't recall them entertaining at home.

It depends on the person's personality. If they are open and talkative, it doesn't matter whether they grew up alone or not.
