The small animal? Yes. The meat? Yes. Is this a trick question?

P.S. I read the story from the link, and it's a tough call on the homecoming participation. But I really worry about the future of boys would steal livestock, for starters, and then slaughter them in what looks like a ritualistic fashion. This is a difficult concept to separate from the idea that the lambs would most likely have been killed for meat [unless this was a small farm specializing only in wool]. In any case, the future commercial destiny of the lambs has nothing to do with the crime at hand.
