Absolutly not.

Herpes can be passed to a baby when the mother is giving birth, but it's not because of the blood, it's the skin to skin contact with sores. If a mother who has herpes is having an outbreak while she is giving birth she can pass it on to her baby when the baby is coming through the birth canal. The baby can rub against the sores and can contract herpes which can be fatal for newborns.

The American Red Cross allows people with herpes to donate blood. If the herpes virus was in the blood I HIGHLY doubt the American Red Cross would allow people with herpes to donate. "...genital herpes are not a cause for deferral if you are feeling healthy and well and meet all other eligibility requirements."
