I prefer Duck Feotus Served in its Eggshell (Balut), compare to the Bat, since it taste just like an egg+softmeat, and the bat has too many bones, small, unfulfilling and its just like eating miniature quail.
unfortunately, do not buy balut in USA, unless you know it is freshly 17-21 days and boiled, rather than rotten balut in the usual asian store.

Actually, I prefer the Cantonese dish called "Dragon, Tiger, Phoenix," Which is Snake, Alley Cat and Chicken. I devoured a portion before I knew what it was, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd never eat it again though. But seriously, it was delicious.

I would never go near those repugnant stuff,
let alone eat it.
Once in China, in a very expensive hotel I was
served a soup with pickled Queil eggs. I was told
that those eggs were at least 10 years old. I left
the table without having any food.

So sorry - I would rather starve than eat either of the two. I love trying new cuisine but I'm not one of these folks who will eat whatever is set in front of me. Of the two choices, I suppose the Horshoe Bat sounds the least (possibly) offensive. It would depend on what was in it, for me!!!! lol No big culinary adventurer here, I'm no Anthony Bourdain!!!
