For nearly a year now, my husband and I both have experienced many of the same medical problems: extreme unexplained weight loss, fatigue, and frequent urination. I no longer suffer from the tiredness but my husband still does as well as extreme hunger. Is it possible that we could both have Diabetes and is it normal for a couple to have symptoms at the same time like this?

That would be crazy, but sad. And anything is possible.
You should both get tested. those are common symptoms..and for a year? I would imagine it to be getting worse and worse...

better safe than sorry...plus the sooner you detect it, the easier it can be in the long run. goodluck!

It is possible, especially if you are eating similar diets. You both have some signs of diabetes. Testing for diabetes is very simple and relatively painless. You both need to get checked asap b/c diabetes is a very serious health condition that can cause other health problems you might not even realize.

Anything is possible. Need to stop wasting time on line and see a doctor for a good physical. It has been a year and you haven't had yourself evaluated. Don't you know that diseases can kill or permanently harm you in less time than that? At the very least you may have done yourself irreparable harm by allowing whatever it is to go on. Get to a doctor!!!!

For a year you and your husband have been feeling something is wrong...but you haven't bothered to go to a doctor? What are you waiting for? Of course it's possible that you both have diabetes...or you both have something completely different! Make appointments for you both and find out what is wrong!

I ignored symptoms just like that and it was Type 1 diabetes. I let it go on too long and was very sick.
