Best might be corriander mixed with a little fennel. But depending on what you are cooking will make a big difference. Cumin is so integral to Indian cooking, especially Punjabi, that not having it is a somewhat critical ommission.

If you are cooking Mexican spice mixes try a touch of fennel. Its not as critical in Mexican cooking because it is seldom used throughout the whole country, only really in northern style meat and taco type spice mixes and Yucatan "pibil" recipes.

i would suggest a blend of chilli powder,ground corriander seeds and a touch of ground green pepper. try this sprinkled on lean lamb cutlets let sit a few minutes and grill to medium to well.finish with a glass of yalumba y series merlot

IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT! YOUR MAKING .
for any meat you can use a mix of worcestershire and liquid-smoke .

for all veggies some white pepper,anise,and dry basil -grind together and adjust taste with some corriander !

but if your making beans or tamales --sorry theres noooo !-sub-for it !

I personally think cumin (cominos) is not al that great. I f you don't put it in your recipe I don't think you will miss much.

When making Mexican food, use oregano.

When making Indian food, omit it all together. If you feel your dish lacks something, use a little bit of ajwain seeds.
