It's meat because of the amount of protein it contains, but my wife is vegitarian and she eats fish.

Also if you go by the Christian code you are allowed to eat fish on Friday's in Lent which are days that you are supposed to refrain from meat.

Fish isn't classed as a meat or veg as far as I know, it's just fish. Meat tends to come from mammals. In the food group it is classed as a protein along with meat and poultry.

Fish is a vegetable, it grows in the ground and uses photosynthisis to produce energy.

Of cause its meat, its excluded from a vegetarian diet.

And please people, don't any one say "i'm a veggie and I eat fish"...you're not a veggie if you eat fish, poultry, meat or any product that requires the death of these animals.

Kournigirl1: You don't know anyone who eats fish and is a vegetarian. You know people who eat fish and CALL themselves vegetarians. Do us all a favour, and put them right to save confusion for the rest of us.

Why do we get this stupid statement in this forum every week...Its probably not your fault, you're not veggie so don't know the difference. Shame on your friends for redefining the dictionary just because they can't be bothered to get it right..

Fish is meat, if it's a vege, then I suppose those vegetarians will be permitted to eat those fishes at present day.
