NO, you don't visit this category often, obviously.
Here's a great reason not to eat poultry of any kind :-

Vegetarians do not eat meat, poultry seafood, shellfish or any flesh at all. So no. Nor if you eat fish. This is not strict as someone above said, but is absolutely required to fit the proper definition of a vegetarian. If an animal had to die for it then it's not ok.

No, you are not a vegetarian if you eat any type of meat or meat product. So that includes cows, pigs, lambs, chicken, turkey, and fish, meat broth, bones, etc.

People eating poultry and fish and calling themselves vegetarian can be a bit of a sticky wicket for strict vegetarians. I'm always surprised when I tell people I'm vegetarian and they then ask, "But you eat chicken and fish, right?" Last I checked chicken and fish weren't vegetables.

I appreciate your question -- lots of people just assume. :-)

No, definitely not. Vegetarians do not eat ANY meat, whether that's red meat, poultry, fish, etc.

a vegetarian tries not to eat meat, including poultry but a strict vegetarian won't even eat fish. So no, in my opinion.

No, chicken and turkey are not classified as vegetable-based foods

There are some who term that as a pesco-pollo vegetarian, but generally most vegetarians will say you are not a vegetarian.
