~*~They must be talking about the ends of the peeling, not the actual fruit of the banana. If not, then I'd have to say they are wrong. I even doubt if any part of the peeling is poisonous, but I don't know that, & I couldn't find anything Online either way.

NO! actually the bottom of the banana has the most potassium. It's the part of the banana that ht e healthiest for you.

Everything inside the peel is edible. Don't eat the peel and use caution when taking further advice from them...
A better bit of trivia, apple seeds are posionous. Peach pits, too. (you'd have to eat alot to hurt yourself, but still)

No part of the banana or the tree is poisonous. So dunno where this story came from. If you peel and banana and eat it (the banana, not the peel) its perfectly ok.

i think they are referring to the skin and the peice at the bottom of the banana itself

if there was poison in bananas they would not be able to sell them in supermarkets because of the risks.

my daughter is 10 and she came home one day saying that there were bugs in the ends. now she refuses to eat the ends!
