I am looking to see if someone else knows of any asian marketplaces like Mitsuwa and the 99 Ranch Market. I know they exist, but I can't find them. The internet/yellow pages aren't helping either. Otherwise, if you know a great local place to buy bento boxes. (I need a man's box, not the cutesy.) I haven't found any on the obvious ebay and jbox, etc. Thanks!

Little Tokyo has a pretty big shopping center pretty close to Miramar, off I-15 I haven´t lived there in a while, but I´m sure its still there.

Hello! Mitsuwa is located at:

4240 Kearny Mesa Rd
San Diego, CA 92111
Tel. (858) 569-9999
Open 9 am-8 pm
http://www.mitsuwa.com/slh2.html

Also, you can try Nijiya:

3860 Convoy St
San Diego, CA 92111
Tel: (858) 268-3821

Good luck! I'm pretty sure that one of them should carry bento boxes.

Just drive on Convoy between the 52 and Balboa. You'll find a ton of good Asian markets.

I second Morning Glory since all they sell are stationary stuff like the San Rios but a little bit more grown up.

Your question was stated right. You said "...like..." which means "similar to." So it clearly says you are looking for similar markets, not those in particular. :O)

Yes, as a previous poster stated there is Nijiya on Convoy or you could try Zion Market. (www.zionmarket.com). Hope this helps!
