I'm a Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian and I take multivitamin pills from GNC that has an "advanced vegetarian formula". I heard somewhere that GNC multivitamins aren't good ones to take. Is this true? And, if so, what is a good multivitamin for me to take?

Most multi-vitamins are okay, but I would avoid the ones that have high and equal mg amounts of the various B vitamins. We don't need exactly the same amount of the different Bs, and those pills end up giving you masive overdoses of the cheaper vitamins, which can actually interfere with your absorption of the others. Look for all of the B's to be around 100% of the RDA - if some are 800% RDA and others 20%, that is not good for you.

I don't know the specific formula you're taking, but I haven't heard anything bad about GNC vitamins in general. I used to buy them, but the local GNC closed, so I haven't had any for several years - I get vitamins at a local health food store that has things packaged under their store name.

it really depends.. how do you feel from gnc vitamins?

if they work for you then take them.. if you don't care much for any vitamin try other brands and types.

that's all.... not all vitamins are created equal... but generally to pin point that one brand is lesser than another is really nonessential.

just make the choice for yourself.. if you like a vitamin.. for any reason then that's your decision.

i actually liked gnc vitamins.. not all are good but the men's/women's forumlas seem to be rather good.

Why don't you just have a healthy balanced diet?
