Me and my gf are going to take a test for hiv...and I want to know what test to take and how long does it take to get our results ?

You can do a couple of things... There is the Eliza test and that takes about a week to get the results back. Another option is the Ora-Quick which is about a 20 minute test where your mouth is swabbed and the results come back then. If that test comes back positive, you will be referred for an Eliza test which is a more in detail test.
Also, if you are going to get an HIV test, go ahead and get Hep, Syph, Gonorrhea, etc... Might as well knock them all out and it will ease your mind. Usually your heath department offers them.

You get an HIV test, thats the name of it, Often its combined with Syphylis tests, and many others to save on cost and to provide more results. It usually takes about a week in our small town, so it might be faster in bigger areas. Good Luck!

just an HIV/AIDS test, but they normally give you that test along with syphilis.
