not necessarily, i am mexican and adding jalapenos is not right due to the amount of vinegar making the beans taste nasty, jalapeno eating for mexicans is like having bread on the side for italian's type of thing

Not necessary Mexican, But for sure I will try it...It sounds good....
Mexican cuisne is more about acidity and contrasts of strong amd mellow flavors, including Hot & Spicy... For example, combining it with creamy guacamole, soft cheese or refried beans. The use of lime cilantro an olive oil.
The use also a lot of "plantillas" and flour beacuse it is cheap and resourceful. They also use a lot of choclo or corn, which is a native vegetable.

i dont know but sure mexicans love japalenos. Till so much young they use to eat this mexican pepper! Or any other pepper. I love to eat a kind of pepper that they sell like small sugar crystals, for children too, inside green coconuts and lemon! I have learned that with a pregnant mexican =D

People who like jalapenos will put it in their chili. But i guess you do find it in a lot of hispanic dishes and chilies. Tex-Mex cuisine has a lot of chilies in there. So even if it is a "mexican" thing its been brought into the u.s.And we like it!
