Does anyone know how to make arroz con leche? PLEASE!!! THANKS!!!=)

50 min 5 min prep
Change to: servings US Metric
1/2 cup white rice, uncooked
1 cup water
3 1/2 cups milk
2 cinnamon sticks
1 lemon, zest of, grated
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
ground cinnamon, for garnish

Cook the rice in one cup of water.
Boil 7 minutes, until the rice gets softer and the water is almost absorbed.
Add the milk, cinnamon sticks, lemon peel.
Gently boil using med-low heat for 15 minutes.
Remove cinnamon sticks.
Add sugar and salt and cook for 30 minutes stirring frequently.
Remove from heat and pour into a deep glass dish.
Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and refrigerate.

its also rice pudding. my grandmother always made it and i still cant get my self to eat it! good luck!

I don't have a recipe as far as the quantity of ingredients, but I think it's made with cooked rice, milk, eggs, sugar and cinnamon. Some people add raisins. Arroz con leche translated is rice with milk. When the above ingredients are mixed together and baked in the oven, we in the U.S. call it rice pudding.

i know that leche means milk so that is probably in it
