Kelly,
All fruit contain natural sugar and contain quiet a lot of calories. So sure if you eat alot of fruit you are taking in alot of extra calories. So like any kind of food you need to be aware of your caloric intake. On the other hand fruit is very good for you so if you are not to concerned about the calories eat all you want and enjoy. Fruit is alot better than say twinkies or ho ho's for sure, they contain alot of calories also, but those calories are not good for you.

Eating too much of anything could make you gain weight. Apples are really good for you, but I wouldn't have more than one a day because they do have sugar. It would be best to have a variety of fruits that way you get different nutrients.

Yes.. apples like a lot of fruit are incredibly high in sugar.. the type of sugar does not matter, it is sugar... it has a direct effect on your insulin levels.. more insulin is needed therefore more weight gain.

I suppose it would depend on how many you were eating in a day! As long as you were staying within your normal daily caloric intake, no, they would not make you gain weight. They are completely fat free and full of nutrition. I would stick to one a day though. You need a BALANCED diet, so not too much of one thing.

Yes. Even though it's a fruit and it's good for you. You should only consume the right amount. Apples do have sugar. Too much sugar is not good.

How old is your daughter? How many calories is she taking in and how many is she working off? Apples do have natural sugar, but are much better than refined sugar. As long as her output is greater than her input, she should be fine.
