If you are a Type II Diabetic, you need to take charge of your life and responsibility for your disease. It is never, ever to late to do that. You CAN turn it around and beat this disease. Learn about carbohydrates, read about how you can be in control of this disease. Go to the library and get the book, Diabetes Solutions (Revised and Update) by Dr. Richard Bernstein. It will turn your life around!!!! You won't need the SSI and you will have a much better life! I am not in any way affiliated with Dr. Bernstein. I have read his book and changed our lives 4 years ago. Good luck - remember - you ARE in control - take responsibility and grab hold of a better life.

no, sorry. the only way would be if you are a severe diabetic or you are older and have diabetes with problems.

I guess it is possible, you would have to call SS office and go from there...I think it is considered a disability depending on age etc...
