Many diabetics have been cured.
Try to get hold of Hulda Clarke's 'A cure for all diseases'. It's a great book. Much of it is on the web.
Try a kidney cleanse, and a colon cleanse.

For insulin dependent (type 1) diabetes, there is no cure. For some (usually unknown) reason the pancreas quits manufacturing insulin. The patient must take insulin injections. For type 2 diabetes, it is often possible to go on a diet and cure yourself of having to take any medications. I know several people that lost weight by eating healthy and got rid of type 2 diabetes. One of the best diets for diabetics is the South Beach Diet. I know several doctors that are recommending this diet to their patients.

Not at this time, at least in western allopathic medicine. Certain alternative medicine systems have been know to claim cures, but none of these have been scientifically proven.
Both type 1 and 2 diabetes can be controlled and managed well. Proper diet, exercise and daily insulin intake can help you lead a normal life.

Before looking for a permanent cure for a diabetic patient, one must clear what in diabetes are you trying to cure.
(a) Is it hyperglycemia? Insulin, oral hypoglycemic drugs, with diet and exercise can keep blood sugars low.
(b) Is it diabetic sequelae, that is complications from diabetes? One must keep an eye on glucose and lipid levels (they are interrelated) and the diet.
(c) Is it the root cause of hyperglycemia? Hyperglycemia is caused by low insulin (due to pancreatic disease or inadequate release of the hormone) or enough insulin but inadequate body response in obese individuals.
There is no fast rule in diabetic treatment and there are two types of diabetes and varying presentations.
If one lacks insulin due to a genetic, anatomic, or congenital defect or acquired deficiency from disease of the pancreas, insulin replacement is the key treatment.
If one has enough insulin but not enough response due to one's dietary habits and body habitus (obesity), oral hypogycemics or euglycemics can help, with insulin augmentation for difficult cases. Diet and excercise in these cases can help reduce requirement for drugs and insulin.
For the various sequelae of diabetes, try an endocrinologist-physician or a very good internist-physician to sort out or tailor the therapy according to one's needs.
Unfortunately, there is no magic pill.

I haven't heard of a cure although I know that strict diet control can help prevent it coming on so fast and that the longer you avoid taking insulin shots the healthier you will be.
