NOt sure the symptoms you describe are of scabies - do you have any real reason to suspect it might?

Scabies can spread by close (and usually prolonged) skin-skin contact - the most commonly affected areas are the stomach, hands and hip areas.

It is one of the things that a condom can't protect you against, but if you feel you have been at risk of an STD, then you should make an appointment for a full sexual health screening at your local GUM clinic.

Scabies has nothing to do with STD's with the exception the rash happens to be in the genitals. STD's; herpes, AIDS are viruses. Syphilis and gonorrhea are bacterial in nature. Scabies are parasites.

Scabies is highly transmittable and they multiply profusely. You have to WASH EVERYTHING TWICE. Once when medication is applied and 7 or so days later to be absolutely sure the infestation is no longer present. Sex could be a way of transmission, so could hugging someone, wearing the clothing of an infected person, towels, brushes, and the like.

Whether your problem is scabies or STD's, I suggest seeing a doctor. Your symptoms should not be ignored. Good luck!

Scabies is spread by direct skin-to-skin or close bodily contact.
Even the cleanest person can become infested when there is direct, skin-to-skin contact with a person who has scabies.
Due to the frequency of infestations on the hands, contact with hands, i.e. shaking or holding hands, can spread scabies.
Pets (dogs, cats and rabbits) and some farm animals (goats, horses, cattle and pigs) can be infected with scabies mites, but these are of a different type than human scabies mites. If you have close contact with an animal that has scabies, the mites could get under your skin and cause temporary skin irritation and itching. However, the mites die in a couple of days, and you do not need to be treated with special medication to kill the mites. If a pet or farm animal has scabies, it is important to have the disease treated by a veterinarian or you could continue to get reinfected from the animal.

STD is not a disease its a category of diseases. Symptoms could be sores on the genitals, warts on genitals, any bleeding from genitals, thrushing. There are a lot of symptoms. You should go get tested. If you turn out not to have any you should be good but go and get tested for HIV 3 months later because it often takes a long time to build antibodies for the virus and it may lay dormant. To prevent STDS dont have sex with hookers and try not to have sex with lots of people. Always wear protection. The only way not to get an STD is abstinence

Scabies isn't always transmitted through sex and is easily treated with a product called NIX. You'll have to go to your doctor and get a diagnoses and prescription though.

scabies are not an std.....My seven and five year old daughters had them and her best friends mom is a pediatrician. When I sent them to a dermatologist he detected as soon as he saw them and they were cleared within a couple of days.

Not really, most STDs have lesions in genital region unless it's AIDS that manifests anywhere. Your scratching the rashes could be introducing bacterial infections that accounts enlargement and itchness of rashes. So it is not STD, just go for diagnosis and treatment.
