You don't have to eat non-vegetarian food to stay healthy. In fact it is teh other way around. Veg. food is very healthy and safe. Take lot of fruits, spinach(leaves), fibrous foods and milk. You get all the vitamins and iron required by the body. Avoid junk fast foods.

If you are eating a balanced whole foods, plant based diet then none. However if you would like to take a multivitamin, and there is nothing wrong with that, I would suggest getting it from a chiropractor or some other alternative medicine professional. Those are of the highest quality. Under no circumstances should you ever buy vitamins from Walgreen's / GNC type stores. Those are basically useless since they tend to be petroleum based and are un-absorbable. Also I wouldn't recommend getting them from an MD either as those are synthetic.

Remember that protein needs are completely blown out of proportion in the US. Your body needs only 5% of your calories from protein to function properly. The WHO recommends 10%-15% of calories from protein. According to these guidelines you could eat nothing but potatoes and get enough protein. The number of cases of protein deficiency yearly in America could be counted on one hand, if that.

You don't need the huge amount of protein that animal based foods give you so you don't need to worry about not having enough.
You also don't need to take vitamins. As long as you have a large variety of fruit and vegetable (especially leafy green) with nuts, seeds and beans you should get all the vitamins you need.

well if you are a vegetarian you would get plenty of vitamins as vegetables are full of vitamins and minerals. however what you would need are proteins. if you eat eggs, egg whites are great, as they are low in cholesterol as well as being a good source for proteins. also if you do eat meat such as poultry or fish they are also good sources of protein. if you don't eat either of those you should eat lots of soy products, like tofu or soy milk. oh also if you don't do dairy, you can still get calcium from broccoli, almonds and kale. and it would probably be good to take supplements because you still need vitamin D which is necessary for calcium absorption. of course you can also drink fortified orange juice or soy milk too.

There are enough protein yielding vegetarian foods, like lentils, beans and the like. Always ensure that your veg . food intakes a portion of Moog, peas, chick peas, horse grams, Black grams, etc. Any one will do at a time.Use the lentils well sprouted to get the best results, particularly to get an increased sperm count. Most importantly, stop imagining that that you have become a Vegetable by eating Veg. food!

Protein does not come in vitamins. You can get plenty of protein eating whole grains, beans, nuts etc.

vegetarians usually lack iron, vitamins b and protein.
you can get iron from certain vegetables and fruit: spinach, dried apricots, beans.
vitamin b is found in dairy products.
and you can get protein from dairy products and pulses (beans, chickpeas etc) as well.
so if you eat a balanced diet you should get all you need from it. otherwise you can take these supplements.
myself i only take vitamin b complex even though i don't eat very healthy and balanced diet. however all my blood levels are fine.

I'd just eat a steak; or some scrambled eggs; or maybe a chicken drumstick. That would be proper food.
