The Asian store that used to offer this has closed, and I am craving it. How is it made?

It depends. It comes in desert, or appetitzer, and or snack. Some have sweet bananas, some have meat such as port-almost like Mexican tamles, some have eggs. No, don't cook it like the girls who gave the recipe, it actually much complex than that. You need to have sticky rice to make this, or add mung bean to the rice. My step-mom like to make this on special occasion. I preferred one with sweet bananas in the middle, it's not the typical bananas, don't know the name of it. You can find it in any typical Vietnames grocery stores.

Oh! just had some of those today! You could make it yourself

-Cook rice
-add some cook meat or Banana + sweet beans (wrap the rice around the meat or banana

wrap it in banana leave
steam it

Most SouthEast Asia stores will have it
