Genital herpes has a very distinctive pain. Believe me, you should know if you have contracted it or not.

Some of the symptoms of a first outbreak or primary outbreak can include:
* Flulike symptoms, such as fever, headache, and muscle aches. These symptoms usually get better within a week.
* Tingling, burning, itching, and redness at the site where an outbreak is about to occur (prodrome).
* Painful, itchy blisters on the penis, on the vulva, or inside the vagina. Blisters may also appear on the anus, buttocks, thighs, or scrotum, either alone or in clusters. They may be barely noticeable or as large as a coin.
* Blisters that break and become shallow, painful, oozing sores.
* Swollen and tender lymph nodes in the groin.
* Painful urination.
* Abnormal vaginal or urethral discharge.

If you really want to see what they look like you can always do an image search of "genital herpes". Just a little warning though - they can be pretty graphic!

Hmm, good question. So it's likely either Herpes, a pimple (small infection), or another virus infection. Herpes- usually a cluster of 3-6 small bumps filled with clear fluid. Looks similar to the cold sores people get on the mouth. Pimple- Usually 1 bump filled with cloudy yellow fluid. Maybe be surrounded by redness. Painful if you touch it. Those are the two most likely. I'd Definitely go the doctor, as there's medications that can help treat all of these. Hope this helps!!

How Does Herpes Look

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).

Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.

The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid?such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

Herpes and cold sores are same.

Most cold sores heal on their own. But you can manage your symptoms at home by :

- Placing a cool, wet towel on the sores 3 times a day for 20 minutes each time to help reduce redness and swelling.

- Using a mouth rinse that has baking soda to soothe a sore mouth.

- Avoiding foods that contain acid (such as citrus fruits and tomatoes).

If you are not able to cure even after using the above remedy then :
