What blood test did your doc order? If it was a fasting test then that can come back normal or negative but you can still have diabetes. Also if he ordered an A1C, same thing. The best test to catch early diabetes is a Glucose Tolerance test. You go into the lab fasting, drink a sugary drink and then your blood sugar is monitored over a course of a couple of hours. In early diabetes glucose levels could return to normal after fasting and in the case of an A1C it's an average over a couple month time period. Your blood sugar could be staying elevated over a longer period of time, but then falling later. The combination of high and low numbers or slightly elevated numbers with normal ones might show up as normal when averaged. You're drinking a lot, which is going to cause you pee a lot, however the other symptoms are consistent with high glucose levels. If your doctor will not do the GTT, see another doctor for the test and a second opinion. You already know that you have prediabetes, formally referred to as borderline, and I'm sure you know your risk of developing diabetes is very high. Get to the doctor and start making changing before things progress further.

I suffered with the same problem for years. I was not over weight, was careful what i ate, and still was constantly thirsty and urinating. I was drinking up to 6 litres of water easy in a day, most days much more then that. After about 10 years of suffering with this and only getting 2 hours a night sleep with constant breaks i went to see a new dr. He found out i was type 2 diabetic. we found out the at the same time that i had kidney troubles because i went so many years undetected. If you think you are diabetic dont listen to critics saying its in your head, get another opionon or two or three if you feel you need to. You know your body better then anyone else. Make sure you get answers as to why they say you arent. And if another says you are, find out why they are now saying yes. You are allowed to question even dr's dont know everything. and good luck to you

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Go see a MD
take a glucose stress test (fasting glucose, then you eat 50 grams of glucose (take some lemon juice, otherwise its yucky) then they take your blood after 1 hour and 2 hours.
If you have anything, then it'll come out

If you are drinking 4 liters, then you'll pee like crazy. All this water has to go somewhere, after all!
BTW- drink water, not juice. Cuts down on calories, and is less tasty- so you'll drink less. Also, the sugar in the juice increases your thirst.

Try gentle excercise- about 1 hour walking. The big muscles are in the legs
Try not eating anything after 6 PM

Best of luck. I have a similar problem here

ohh Dear!!! do you want to be diabetic?

And I'm sorry if i seem to harsh but it's the only real reason why somebody should be obsessing over basically nothing, let me give you a run down and what is going on and what you should do.

I KNOW that you don't have diabetes with a part of your question, and i quote "... i was told to loose weight, i cant seem to shift the pounds..." The 4 BASIC symptoms of diabetes are Polydipsia (Drinking allot of liquids) Polyuria (urinating allot) Polyphagia (Eating allot) and weight loss. the fact that your blood sugar is semi normal and you are not loosing weight i can pretty much BET you're not diabetic in this instant

What you might have is Glucose Intolerance or Carbohydrate Intol. and that leads to diabetes, with exercise and a healthy diet you might prevent it, but chances are you will be diabetic.

The other part of you question was the Drinking issue with allot of liquid intake, allot of liquid out put, that is simple enough, now there is a condition called Diabetes Insipidus, but that is kinda rare and mostly happens when ppl have skull fractures or have problems secreting a hormone

I would suggest a second opinion,as well as try to squeeze fresh lemon juice in your water to help quinch your thirst. Definatley get a second opinion. Diabetes can lead to kidney failure and you don't want to end up on dialysis because of a doctors error. Also it can have something to do with your heart. Keep us updated and good luck.

Juice has a lot of sugar in it... Try drinking water instead. Water is better for your kidneys too.
