The US undoubtedly has the "best food" because even the smallest American city has a dozen or more immigrant-run restaurants featuring the 'home-cooked' cuisine of that family's native country. Therefore the best food from many countries is all available in the average US city.
I live in a modestly-sized city on the US East coast, and we have within a few miles Salvadoran food, Nigerian, French, Cuban, Mexican, Vietnamese, Korean, Mongolian, Thai, Northern Chinese, Bangladeshi, Japanese, and even an "English" (LOL!) restaurant!

Honestly, I love all kind of ethnic food. Very hard question... This is what I read in a article, though, France, China, and Turkey has the most developed cuisine of their culture. First, these countries are rich in variety of ingredients since they have mountains and sea, and their location is in between very different cultures so it's influenced by other cuisines. Second, they'd been ruled by powerful empires who encouraged to develop haute cuisine for their diplomatic reasons, etc., in their long history, and they are still very proud of it.
Hope it will satisfy you...I really love Italian myself, too, but I try to give you more logistic answer.

I agree. Italy by far has the best food. I've been there three times and ate and drank my way into complete happiness.
I had such a hard time eating pizza when I got back home in the US after having REAL pizza. I also fell in love with the linguine con vongale, the fresh bread, the fritto misto....my mouth is watering now just thinking about it.

This is one od the toughest questions I have seen because I like all ethnic foods. I would say that Italian and Indian food is my favorite.

Central European (German, Austrian or Hungarian) seem to have the best varieties of dishes and all different kinds of preparation: boiled, roasted, grilled, sauteed, you name it!
If stranded somewhere with only one choice of food to eat for the rest of my days, however, I would probably opt for Ethiopian since it has the best variety of meat as well as vegetarian dishes. And it is about the healthiest cuisine in the world.

I totally agree with you, the food in Italy, is absoulutely wonderful. If you go to England, the food can most times be bland, so if your on a diet this is the place to be. Had food in Paris and it was great.

Greek and Italian are my favorites. But as far as whuich country it would be the USA because you can get any kind of food you desire.

wow , first off america has cheese burgers and corndogs to our name, we dont have cuisine. italy tought the french to cook the chinese tought the rest of the world. and nobody mentioned the islands, the best and easiest foods come from the carribean. italy is the best of the rest. then chinese influenced foods.
