HPV is usually not deadly. It's the cancer causing strains that a person needs to watch out for because those CAN be deadly. But, if they don't have that particular strain, then they are usually fine.

By age 50, at least 80 percent of women will have acquired genital HPV infection. About 6.2 million Americans get a new genital HPV infection each year.

It depends on the type oh HPV virus you have, there are several types, over a 100, some cause cancer , others don´t.

Of course. The virus isn't fatal; the disease it creates however can be. HPV is directly responsible for cervical cancer.

It is important to keep in mind that if you get annual pap smears and they come back normal, you are less likely to have to worry about this problem.

the main concern with hpv in woman is it turning into cancer...its very possible to live that long with hpv.

Oh yes, If it is high risk hpv, the kind that can cause cervical cancer, make sure you get your pap smear done when you are supposed to. Other then that you should be fine.

HPV cures itself in most women. When it doesn't it can cause cervical cancer, but I don't believe it causes any other problems.

yeah sometimes there are no symptoms at all.. the problem with that though is that it can cause cervical cancer so you don't want it to go untreated..The virus itself is not deadly except for the cancer causing risk.

I have heard it can lead to Cervical Cancer. Cervical cancer is quite fatal if not detected early.

yea but only when they get it at that age, when you get hpv, your as good as dead. sadly
