this was a great topic of discussion by a Baptist Youth Evangelism team at our church. (one of the girls on the team worked in a shop which sold fake pineapples. or at least tryed to, i don't know if anyone ever actually bought any)

I wouldn't, because I like things fresh, but I once worked in a high end store that sold fake pineapples for $25 each & believe it or not, we sold quite a few because they looked so real & the older ladies seemed to like them. That was in the mid 70's & although I am now one of those older ladies, I still don't think I'd ever have a use for a fake pineapple!

They usually put flowers in a church not fake pineapples. Someone should tell them before they spend their money on fake things. How hypocritical would that be?

Though I have seen fake pineapple ice buckets...so try the car boot sales.

No more than a real pineapple. Or no more than the number of real pineapples that I would need to keep my display going for the length of time that I needed it.

Which would be about 5 seconds.
