some people think that is polite and what they are expected to do....this came from 50 years ago as the thing to do....i have always thought that it was silly to do, unless one is really full..i as a hostess like to see a empty plate, makes me feel my guest enjoyed the meal. in fact i love it when they go for seconds. makes it worthwhile to me to have cooked for them

Now that you have asked the question…yes, people do this totally disgusting thing. Now what could the reason be? Maybe it’s a statement to the host, to be interpreted as: -
·I tried to eat your food but the damn thing just won’t go down.
·Heck! I just remembered that you have not yet eaten so I left you some!
·Maybe you ought to taste the crap you served as food
Come on ECQC just use your imagination I am sure you will find a lot of reasons

In some caucasian American families the mother and dad make the little ones devour each and every of the foodstuff on their plate. it truly is usually a philosophy left over from the super melancholy while poverty replaced into rampant interior the U. S.. in my view, i do no longer accept as true with this. making a guy or woman devour while they are not hungry can bring about obesity, and making a guy or woman devour something they do in comparison to may lead them to unwell. the factor of buffets is many times you may devour all which you quite choose, and attempt diverse ingredients. a guy or woman many times over estimates how lots they might devour, and issues that look solid do no longer constantly style solid. So there you have it. many times you may no longer assume somebody to devour each and every little thing on their plate.

It is considered good manners to leave food on your plate, it shows you have had enough to eat.

Maybe they don't eat that much that they're served because they're been served too much. I know I can't eat full meals, so I give mine to my husband. Maybe they didn't like the food? Or they just got full! Who knows??
