mostly "finger food" like BBQ wings and ribs. cut in small (2 ribs) portions. Raw Vegas' like carrots, Brock cherry tomatoes. Small pickled peppers sweet pickles, deviled eggs, pickled eggs celery filled with peanut butter or creme cheese. Thin slices of ham with cream cheese rolled up inside. soft drinks and/or beer are OK . Iced tea and lemonade.

Well since it's a card party are people going to be playing cards while they eat? Or are they taking turns "tournament" style and the people who are standing around get to eat?
If people are eating while playing you want stuff that doesn't make their hands messy. I would recommend cookies as a sweet, and meat on toothpicks, vegetables with a little dip, popcorn, plain chips, etc. The sandwich supposedly was invented so that a person didn't have to stop playing cards to eat! So perhaps some different varieties of sandwiches cut into fours etc. Think of minced ham, minced roast beef w/ horseradish, egg salad, tuna salad, cucumber, etc. Some different sodas, beer, and wine will make good beverages. Remember that the focus is on the cards and nothing should detract from that!

Dont serve cake. try serving only foods that can be eaten with your hands. One of my never fail treats is pinwheels. Take a large flour tortilla, spread creamcheese thickly to coat. Sprinkle thinly sliced grren onions, and chopped cilantro all over. Top with very thinly sliced ham. Roll tightly. Slice into bite sized pieces. Everybody loves these at my parties. Also, serve tortilla chips with salsa, or a veggie plate with ranch. For sweets, try brownies or cookies instead of cake, easier to eat and much less clean-up for you! Have fun!
