Quorn is the best I have had. I discovered it just a few months ago and it's amazing! I am in love with the chunks (here in the US, they are called tenders)

In a local store here they carry the Naked cutlets, Gruyere cutlets, herb breaded cutlets, mince and tenders.

They also carry morningstar farms, Boca, some worthington types, gardenburger and Lightlife.

I'm in Southern California, U.S.A. & I like a product by a company named White Wave Foods. The product is named Wheat Meat & it tastes like chicken, although it is made from grain! I buy it in the frozen food section of the health food store & slice it thinly while it is partially frozen & refreeze part of it & leave the rest in the cold part of the refridgerator for sandwiches & burritos that taste so close to chicken that it is hard to tell the difference! As an ex meat eater, I find this brand to be the best! For the record, I can't stand Boca Burger Meat Substitute, as it tastes like cardboard & old socks with spices! Dr Praeger's Veggie patties are superb & extremely healthy. Made 4 the grill, burger substitutes, yet no meat claims because all the veggies taste quite good with the spices they use in their recipes. Morningstar farms also makes some replacement products, but their fat & salt content tends to be on the high side.

I guess I'm in a minority here - I LOVE tofu!

I'm in the NE U.S., and there are two brands available almost everywhere, Bocca and Morningstar Farms, plus Gardenburgers and other choices in some stores. I don't like some of them (especially the chicken substitute) because they taste too much like meat. If I wanted to eat something that tasted just like meat, I'd eat meat, but I don't want the meat taste whether real or fake.

Some of the veggie burgers are kind of mushy, and I try to stay away from them, too. My absolute favorite is Morningstar Farms Spicy Black Bean Burger, which a lot of smaller grocery stores don't carry. It doesn't taste anything like meat, but it gives me something to put on a bun with tomatoes and relish and whatever else I happen to feel like eating. I eat them almost daily.

There is one fast food chain, Burger King, that has veggie burgers in all of its restaurants, so on the road I stop there a lot. Their burgers are slightly pasty in texture, but they are better than the food one usually finds at highway rest stops. I actually had a BK Veggie today for lunch.

I live in England too, and I love Quorn for some thing's (sandwich fillings, mince, chicken style pieces) but I much prefer Cauldron sausages, as they are much more succulent and tasty than Quorn.

It does irritate me when people ask why I eat substitutes if I'm so anti meat...surely the simple answer is, because I feel happier knowing that I can still enjoy sausage and mash, without knowing that I'm eating dead flesh!?

I like Quorn. I cook it for my vegetarian son and enjoy eating it too. But I'm always trying to find new ways of flavouring the chunks so that they can be eaten simply on the plate with vegetables.

Asda do a lovely tasting nut burger

As a vegan I can't eat Quorn so not sure how it compares to my favourite, chicken style pieces. They come frozen in a bag and are great in stir frys. They aren't really that much like chicken, but have a kind of smoked taste and have quite a 'meaty' texture. I didn't used to like them because they were so like meat, but after getting used to the fact that I can eat that texture and be eating something vegetarian I like them.

Yep Quorn is my favourite too, not really into Tofu much at all. It's a shame though that Quorn is a bit expensive and some supermarkets don't stock much. I discovered a Quorn Pizza too that i didn't know existed - was really nice.

I live in England, and love quorn, mushrooms, pasta and most rice varieties, nuts and pulses and beans.
I get told, "why do i eat meat substitutes"? if i do that then why not just eat meat? but i have no desire to eat meat, i love animals far too much, and choose not to eat it, i don't use quorn as a meat alternative, believe it or not i actually enjoy eating quorn just for what it is.

in hungary there is no quorn i guess, or at least i have no idea what it is..but there is tofu and stuff and substitues made of different kind of grain..
i just moved to germany, here you get also soy products, and surely many other substitues, too, but actually i wasnt looking for them at all..

personally i dont really eat any substitues, but some soy sausage twice a year, only for some change.. i think these stuff like wheat sausage and most of the substitues look and taste weird...i simply dont like them.
tough, i am not even sure why and whom are they actually made for..?
