I'm not sure if you mean in the first place or now? But it was recalled after outbreaks of E Coli. It was finally determined that it came mainly from california crops and the ban was lifted for other crops. As of now, It still seems hard to find, i think a lot of people are still scared and a lot of stores won't stock the shelves with it for fear of losing money.

there was e-coli in spinach in California, in turn, it was sent just about everywhere.
Due to the fact that people buy the redi-washed bags, they didn't think of washing thoroughly after they opened these bags, as a result they REALLY got sick, and some died (one child in Idaho just died recently)
Things should be OK now
but I'll always wash the stuff even if it says 'pre- washed'!
