Applesauce, or for something a little less messy, pumpkin muffins. Just go light on the spice since it's for kids.
It's still too early to get kids that young excited about Halloween though, 3 weeks is forever for 5 & 6 year olds! So I'd skip the candy and other spooky-type stuff.

I make baked apples that are filled with a mix of quick oats, brown sugar, cinnamon- they are yummy. You wash the apples, core them, scoop out most of the apple (careful not to break the apple) until it is almost hollow. fill the apple with a mix of quick oats, brown sugar and cinnamon, put a small pat of butter atop apple, put in a pyrex glass dish (approx. 4-6 apples), put water in dish bake in pre-heated 350 oven approx. 30-35 minutes. Yummy!

go buy some carmel filled candy bars and some apples.
you can slice the apples and break the candy into small chunks so its like a carmel apple treat. and then apple cider for drinks.

Caramel apples are always good. You can also make a pumpkin roll, when you cut them up to serve they look like little pinwheels.

- pumpkin bars w/cream cheese frosting

- popcorn balls, carmel corn, popcorn mix (popcorn, m&m's , mini marshmallows, raisins - usually I add nuts instead of raisins but you couldn't bring anything w/nuts to school because of allergies)

- apple fruit leather

- graham cracker sticks w/ cream cheese pumpkin dessert dip

Apples or homemade apple sauce. I made homemade fresh applesauce in my crockpot...it's a little time consuming but it's good!
