coconut layer bars:
Take one package (about 13) grahamcrackers, put in bag and smush... put on bottom of greased 9x13 in pan. Add 1/2 stick melted butter and drizzle over crumbs. Sprinkle 1 cup coconut over crumbs, and 1 cup nuts if you like them. Add 1 cup chocolate chips, and drizzle the can of condensed milk over all. Bake at 350 degrees about 25 minutes until golden brown and yummy, cut into squares.

Sweet Southern Coconut Cake

Ingredients:
1 white cake mix with pudding
2/3 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
2 eggs
1 can Cream of Coconut, like Cocoa Casa
1 small can sweetened condensed milk
Cool Whip
1 small can Angel Flake Coconut

Directions:

Mix cake mix, buttermilk, water, coconut flavoring and eggs well and pour into prepared 9x13 pan. Bake according to package directions. Out of the oven poke holes in the cake. When cool, take Cream of Coconut and sweetened condensed milk, mix together and pour over top of cake. Sprinkle with Coconut. When that's cool spread Cool Whip over top. Get very cold. This is really rich and VERY moist. Serve in SMALL pieces.

Make a 3 leches cake ( 3 milks cake). I make a white cake from any recipe (a mix is fine) then cool the cake well. With a fork put little holes all over the cake (so that the milk will absorb in). Mix together a can of sweetened condensed milk, a can of evaporated milk and a half cup of cream or half and half. Pour this mixture over the cake and let stand in fridge until all the liquid is absorbed. Frost with butter cream frosting and cover in coconut. It is wonderful!

I have a recipe for a cake, everyone has a different name for it.
1 box yellow cake mix
1 large can CoCoa Lopez (it's on the isle w/ adult beverage mixes.)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tub of cool whip
enough coconut to cover top of cake

Bake cake mix as instructed on box, in a 9 x 13 pan. Let it cool, then poke holes all in the cake. Pour CoCoa Lopez over entire cake, then pour entire can of sweetened condensed milk. Spread Cool whip over the top, and sprinkle with coconut. Refrigerate overnite for best results. It's wonderful, by it's self or you can serve pineapple with it.

I think your thinking about those layer bars that everyone (including me) makes at Christmas time. It also has 2 different flavor chocolate chips in them. yummy! Buy a can of Eagle Brand condensed milk, the recipe should be on the can because they are very popular, or go to Eagle Brand website, they may have it.
