I have a constant sharp pain on my left side and it won't go away. I wonder if this is a sign of a stroke or something else. Thanks I'll take serious answers only.

Can you give a few more details. Like what type of work do you do? It could be strained from say heavy lifting repetitive motion. Is it your entire left side or your back?? The reason I ask my entire left side of my body was jacked up because of a job with repetitve motion. I had an mri, ct scans x-rays, physical therapy, anti-inflamatory meds, bed rest and nothing worked. I out of desperation went to a chiropractor who said my entire back was out of line. After several adjustments I am now completely out of pain. I had the sharp pains, numbness, weakness you name it.

Believe it or not, it could actually be acid reflux or gas. Take some Pepcid and Alka-Seltzer and see if pain persists. If not, contact your physician.
A sign of stroke is degeneration of speech, movement on one or both sides of the body, and/or comatose state. Since you're writing this, and didn't have trouble typing, I wouldn't make the 'stroke' call.

Most likely, it's nothing serious at all. It is not a sign of a stroke, that's for sure. You probably just pulled a muscle and didn't realize it. To be sure, you just see a doctor.

I think you need to get to a doctor right away. Why sit and wonder if you are having stroke symptoms, get to a doctor and be sure. I wish you best of luck~

Strokes happen in the brain, heart attacks happen in the heart. It could be anything or nothing, but you should get it checked out. If you go to the ER you'll get in right away since it could be heart related. Do you runa history of heart disease in your family or high blood pressure? I don't want to panick you, but my 37 year old boss died of a massive heart attack just a few weeks ago.

Definately, a UTI a urinary tract infection, or a bladder infection is what they're called. I have had several and the only relief from this is antibiotics and you have to go to a doctor and produce a urine sample for them to detect it. It could spread up to your kidneys if you don't get it looked after and the old wise "cranberry treatment" never worked for me, you'll have to get antibiotics to clear it for sure. Talk from experience. It'll take about 2 days before you feel better after starting to take the antibiotics.

Sharp pains are usually not associated with cardiac (heart) problems.
Usually sharp pain may be from muscle or cartilage. Or other soft tissue problems.
