Why don't people use drinking straws much these days?

Years ago, people used straws to drink their drink--then even more so when the bendy straws came out. But not so much anymore. Wonder why?

Straws were more popular when disposable/paper cups were less common and were of lower quality. Also, dishwashing machines didn’t do as good a job of sanitizing as they do today.

Restaurants encourage folks to use straws because they drink faster using a straws than when they drink from a glass.

We still use straws. I guess it was just a fad for most people to drink with a straw.

I use straws myself, I don't like to drink straight from a glass at a restaurant. I see lots of people here use them, and when I used to wait tables, most of my customers did too unless drinking water..

I always drink from straws. The reason? My dentist says a smaller amount of the beverage will land on my teeth. Therefore; if the beverage has sugar, less sugar will end up on your teeth. Makes sense to me!

because when i am really thirsty i don want a straw i want to finish my drink with out a freaking straw cuz it tastes soooo much better strawless

i do all the time. I have tons in the drawer. I agree with the first lady, I don't ever like to drink from a glass at a restaurant.

You do recognize that peppermint oil may reason heart complications, do not you? i'd be careful with that. if you're going to apply herbs you want to appreciate how they artwork or in case you do not opt for to benefit for your self then bypass to someone who's qualified in coping with and allotting herbs.
