These days were created for the chocolate industry. How do y'all deal with it? Do you just have an IV full of Humalog ready to go? Do you restrain yourselves? Do you go hog wild and say, "I've been good all year, but today all hell breaks loose and Hello Ketoacidosis?"

KETOACIDOSIS???!!! Why would chocolate and candy cause ketoacidosis??? Unless you say the hell with it and don't use insulin at all!

It's all about moderation...along with carb counting...and insulin. Possibly some take more medication.

fortunately, i've learned to live each day refraining from the foods/sweets that i know are not beneficial for me. i've been doing this for so long that the temptation seldom arises anymore.
