I've been tattooed 10+ times and I was diagnosed when I was six. Healing is definitely an issue, as well as circulation. If you're not willing to take the time and energy to take care of the tattoo to avoid infection, it's a bad idea. I have not yet tattooed my legs, just because of the circulation issue. I don't have issues now, but you never know when they'll pop up. As long as you properly manage your bloodsugars, follow your after-care instructions provided by the artist and keep up your medications it should be pretty safe. Everyone is different though. If you do it, just make sure to eat before you get one, and take an orange juice or some glucose tablets with you in case you have an insulin reaction. A tip that my tattoo artist told me that I still use to this day is to eat an apple a day. The psyllium in the apple helps to regulate bloodsugars in Type I (along with insulin) and Type II. You can always check with your doctor to see what they think.

Diabetics have circulation and nerve problems. Any unnecessary cutting of the skin (which a tattoo is) is dangerous. You could lose sensation in the area of the tattoo and not realize that you have an infection (infections happen easily for diabetics--as you know)....all kinds of problems. If the tattoo parlor doesn't ask about this or says that it's OK, then obviously they know nothing.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

A tattoo inflicts permanent damage to your skin. Your skin is an entire organ. Blood vessels in the vicinity of a tatoo are also damaged by the tatoo. This damage can circulate to other areas. Circulation is already taxed by diabetes. I would not recommend a tattoo for diabetics.
Treat your body as best you can because diabetes will damage it.
Your body needs all the good treatment it can get to fight the damage. Don't give it additional damage to deal with.

Because of circulation and slow healing issues, it's not a good idea for diabetics to get tattoos, especially on their extremities (legs, ankles, feet, arms, hands) The healing process is slowed greatly in diabetices, and if an infection would set in, it may NEVER heal, and cause further complications. Hope this helps!

Yes. Just remember by not controling your diabetes can cause a weakened immune system...so as long as your tattoo shop is clean and you mainain your tattoo from getting infected, you should be alright

I got a tattoo yesterday and on the questionaire form they make you fill out, it did ask if I was diabetic. I didn't think to ask why that would be an issue though. I would call a tattoo parlor and ask them.
