Mouth to mouth is better ;), but I think it would be ok as long as she doesn't hyperinflate your lungs..........now I need to find a girlfriend to practice on me LOL

Yes, that's fine, just don't swallow any air or you'll have a stomach ache. The chick who says that your alveoli will close, I don't know about that, I never heard of that and I have to use an ambu bag with CPR about 10 times a week, and a lot of the time, the people are breathing on their own, they just need to be augmented. You will be fine, don't worry.

No, it is not!! If she squeezed too hard and puts too much air in your lungs at once, it could collapse your alvioli and then you might need bagging for real.

Pretend you are bagging, but don't do it for real. The same goes for chest compressions. You would never do chest compressions on ANYONE unless their heart wasn't beating.

It's not a real good idea to practice on a patient who has normal tidal volumes and flows. If she happened to inflate at the same time you inhaled it could put too much volume and pressure in your lungs and cause you to pop a lung (pneumothorax).

Yeah, just don't hold your breath longer than 2 minutes. That will cause brain damage.
