Hamburger Helper is just an expensive way to make something you could do better making yourself. I've never tasted a flavor that was worth buying again although if you doctor them up they are at least edible.
With all the recipes available out on the web why not just make your own. It doesn't take that much longer and the taste is far better.
Here's an example...
Easy Baked Pasta
10 oz. mostacholli (cooked)
1 lb. ground beef
1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic
1/4 cup dehydrated onion or fresh equivalent
1 t. Morton's Natures Season (or other seasoned salt)
14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
28 oz. jar Prego spaghetti sauce
1/2 t. Morton's Natures Season
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
8 oz. shredded Mozarella cheese
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown beef with garlic, onion and 1 t. Natures Season. Combine drained pasta, beef mixture, tomato products and seasoning in a large bowl. Stir in Parmesan cheese and about half the mozarella cheese. Spread in a greased 9 x 13 baking dish and sprinkle with remaining mozarella cheese. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
Once you try this you'll never go back to hamburger helper!
Enjoy!

I like it when it's done cooking and then you let it sit for a little bit to let the sauce thicken. That's when Hamburger Helper is at its best. I can never eat it as leftovers or after it gets cold because then it's just plain nasty.
However, my favorite part about Hamburger Helper is that it's a Boxtop for Education item. I cut them all out and give them to my friend's son. He turns them in and gets money for his school. And sometimes I give him enough that his class gets a pizza party!

We have hamburger occqsionaly but not too often, there are times when you have to add a little more spice or sour cream or a little corn and different things to make it better but they are in the long run quite good.

Most hamberger helper's are not vegetarian friendly. Way back when though, I used to love the stroganoff.
