Yes is can! Many people say no, but that is not true!

HPV does, and can, go away for most people. Some, unfortunately can not get rid of it and have it the rest of their life. There is NO cure for HPV, but some people's bodies are able to get rid of it.

If a person does get rid of it though, it is always possible for them to contract the virus again later on.

People are known to shead away HPV. It can go away, but it depends on the person. Since there are many different strains of the virus, it depends also on how virulent the strain that you have gotten. Some of the HPV causes warts and others causes cervical cancer. If you do not see any warts, great. But, if you do, get them treated. There is a vaccine out for HPV. It is currently only licensed to be used in women as it contains the strains that causes cervical cancer and if you are male, it is not recommended for men yet.

funny you should ask that, a long time ago researchers thought it was a virus that you kept forever. now mysteriously some women are able to get rid of it completely. no one knows why. maybe due to high immune levels that can destroy the virus. and merck just came out with a vaccine that can destroy and HPV in the body. if you are sexually active, and have had HPV in the past you should definitely check into this vaccine. it is on the market now.

The Human Pappillomae Virus (took a shot at the spelling) may go away (read all the way to the end please), but if you are sexually active, which is probably why you have it in the first place, you constantly become re-infected. I recommend that you go to your gyno and have it accurately diagnosed and treated. Take the full prescribed dosage of the medication . This virus is now known to cause cervical cancer in women. Being a cancer survivor myself, I cannot urge you enough--GO TO YOUR DOCTOR ASAP!!!!!! This should not be taken lightly. Do not hold off and think that it will go away on its own. Take an aggressive stand to rid yourself of this virus.

Nope, no cure for it yet. It's with you forever, just a matter of when the warts will show themselves.
