My doctor downplayed the significance of the arrythmia but I still feel it in my chest. Ive cut out caffine and Im eating better but just over the last two days. Is it ok to jog with an irregular heart beat? Should I wait until arrythmia/ palpitations stop before I resume my workouts?

A Sinus Arrhythmia can be a normal finding. It is when the heart speeds up slightly, then slows down again in response changes in pressure inside the chest when you breathe. Breathe in and it speeds up, breathe out and it slows down. Jogging is OK.
However, you should not be aware of it.
You also mention "palpitations" that you feel in your chest. This is possibly a different kind of arrhythmia with several possible causes.
If you are feeling palpitations when you work out or jog, you should describe these symptoms to your doctor. (S)he may want to investigate further.

Good job on cutting back on the caffiene.
Ask your doctor about jogging - too often they don't realize that people like you are NOT geriatric patients and that not jogging/lifting will have an impact on your health.
I'm sure there are degrees of your condition and your doctor will have some more specific guidelines for you.

Check with your doctor. Only he/she can advise you on this adequately. If you are still unsure, ask for a second opinion from a cardiac specialist. Just as each of us are unique, so is each case of sinus arrythmia. Good luck and good health to you.
