I'm eating some pad thai noodles and chicken veggies and rice. Are any of these healthy, bad for you, or in between?

I love Thai food and am trying to diet.... It depends what dishes. Some are healthy and some are highly caloric. "Thai Beef Salad" is very healthy. So are, basically, all the salad dishes (like the one with marinated squid, etc.) Satay is very healthy if you go light on the peanut sauce. Those spring rolls that are NOT fried are healthy.
However, the curries made with coconut milk are very fattening (coconut milk is almost all fat.) Some dishes, even with meat, have sugar (Hot/sour/salty/sweet are the balance of flavors that are supposed to be in every Thai dish.) Pad Thai is pretty caloric (those noodles are carbs, and the sauce does not seem low-fat.)
With stir-fried dishes (like the chicken and veggies), it just depends. Stir-fries are fried in oil and the sauce will add some calories. Depends on the kind of sauce.

I think it depends on the particular dish: certain Thai dishes are healthy & certain Chinese dishes are healthy. I think Chinese cuisine may use more oil and also MSG but Thai food is high in coconut milk. I prefer Thai food: it's spicy but full of flavor!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Thai food is comparably healthy but try not to overload on pad thai and rice because they are both high in carbs and you'll surely put on unwanted weight.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

What you are eating seemd to be good. Thai food normally has lesser oil which is good but a lot of dishes are coconut based which is high in cholesterol. Thai food also has a lot of basil which is considered very good healthwise.
