My kids have never come to my house (when they don't have to split the time across town w/Dad)for a holiday. They are all 3 grown, 3 grandkids from 2-13 and are into healthy, not meat foods.
LOVE DESSERTS. Id like to have thru the day, intermittent fun little activities, can involve music(they have a hiphop band) a little
beer and wine. Some kind of little gift at their placesetting. All real colorful, upbeat and heres the catch. I am so broke. It seems they always kind of seem bored. None eat meat or drink milk.
Any ideas?????

Find a 99 cent type store and get some fun and colorful place settings for the table. For the kids, you might try having little scavenfer hunts with clues (easy of course) to find small and cheap puzzle books or candy (if they eat it). Makes the holiday fun. Also, for the adults, bath soap for a woman is inexpensive and colorful and you can wrap it in colored saran wrap to make it cute. You can find receipes online for bath salts (made with powdered laundry soap too. If they like desserts, you can make cookies in a jar. You layer the ingredients in a large Mason jar and put the directions on a card. You can find these ideas on the internet easily. Good Luck

Look up some vegetarian recipes online. I like eggplant parm but you said they don't drink milk so maybe they are vegans? If so, they won't eat cheese. Focus on small appetizers maybe even just simple soup and salad and then get fancy with the desserts!
I would go to the dollar store for the decorations and stuff.
You could also get a game of cards started texas hold em is fun but I guess that's not really for the younger kids.

I don't know if I was that much help but I tried!
