Death is the result of the wearing out of the physical body whether it be human, floral, or other living organism. Even the mountains are eroding. Why it happens is a subject that evokes much speculation and conjecture. Even if there was what seemed to be a viable explanation there would be no proof to back it up as substantiated evidence. People throughout time have conjured up may ideas and religious concepts as to the how's and whys of this life but none have given any proof but only offer a belief based on faith. Unfortunately many people have suffered and died at the hands of believers in faith. In time you will die and perhaps you will find the real answer but then again maybe you wont.

End of life is death.
Every movie has a "the end". As time passes by human being turns old, the organs get weak. If All the techology in the world is used to make a person immortal then the humans will be fed up living with the failing organ. Ask any 100+ year old man or woman whether they would like to live for 100 more years like the way they are living now. Most of them would be glad to "take a break"

Death was once defined as the cessation of heartbeat and breathing, but the development of CPR and prompt defibrillation posed a challenge, rendering the previous definition inadequate. This earlier definition of death is now called "clinical death", and even after it occurs, breathing and heartbeat may be restarted in some cases. Events which were causally linked to death in the past are now prevented from having an effect; even without a functioning heart and lungs, a person can be sustained with life-support devices. In addition to such extremes, there are a growing number of people who would quickly die if their organ transplants or artificial pacemakers failed.

It is obviously the end of life as we know it. It happens for a number of reasons - old age,ill health, accident or murder. It happens to most people because the body wears out. It is a bit like a car. You can have it repaired but at some stage the mechanic is going to say enough is enough and the car has to go. We have no choice as to whether we wish to enter this world and we have no choice in most cases as to when we leave it. I believe in fate and when your time is up there is nothing you can do about it. Whether you believe in a life after death is a totally new question

Hi,

I feel Death is just a way to switch to another body( coz I feel that soul has no death), you learn things on earth, move on, born again, you use the things you learn and try to not repeat the mistakes you did....it is just a recycling process, death-birth, death-birth....death is just another occasion like birth....everyone dies, just a natural process.

Every one comes here for a purpose, purpose may differ, some come to help someone, some come to get help from others, some come to check waht there learnt in there previous life, are they able to implement it, some come to help and guide man-kind like Jesus, Baba, Allah, Budhha whatever name you like to call them. Once the work is done, they move-on coz staying in one place(read body, here) is stagnation, when you dont move, you dont grow and also you become a hinderance to someother person's growth....

Well, I hope I made some sense...that's what I visualised death as off now....death is normal, just a part of the great journey and death is not an end.

Bye. :-)

Death is when our body ceases to live. Beyond death we do not know what is there if anything. Maybe nothing, maybe something. We also do not know why immortality is not possible now except things wear out. Lots of mysteries and no answers in this world.

DEATH!!!!!

The most beautiful thing that happens to all the living being on the earth. its the complete peace of mind and body. No one can get something better than that in their life and still it comes to everyone.

All answers are good, but here is my take on it.

In human we have reached a point where, under certain circumstances we can prolong the life indefinateley by use of artificial means. This can be cost prohibitive.

So in leagal medicle terms, a person is considered dead when there is no brain wave for a set period of time. The doctor in charge makes the dicission and pronounces the person dead, authorises the disconnection of life support systems. In the most cases family members have a final say. In the some case it is dicidesd by the court system.

Death is the situation when our energy refuse to function any more.

It happens because whatever was born on this earth must meet the purpose of its birth.
