I heard that eating salad with dressing is as bad as eating fast food. Is that true? How so?

No, it's not. They only say that because dressings like Ranch and Caesar have a high fat content, but it isn't as bad as the fat content in fast food. Vinaigrettes and oil blends are the healthier choice, but the others won't do much damage, nevertheless.

It really depends on what kind of dressing and how much you're using. If you have more blue cheese dressing than salad on your plate it's probably not a good sign.

I just put garlic flavored olive oil, salt and pepper on my salad.

Not at all. The only bad thing would be if you loaded a heavy cream style dressing on the salad. Use fresh greens - oil/vinegar salt and pepper. MMMMMMM GOOD!!

no, you just have to watch how much dressing you put on your salad. there are recommended amounts listed on the bottle, like 1-2tsp. lol - it's those who use a 1/2 cup of dressing that's when it's bad for you!

only if its an unhealthy dressing. Lemon juice, sea salt and herbs is really good. Or a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The other option is using a low fat or fat free dressing

depends if it is a fattening dressing. try eating your salad without a dressing, then it would be way more fresher and healthier, but less tasty.
