I am a thirty year old woman, you may recognise me from writing about my daughter who had lung cancer. Now I'e got a serious heart disease and I'm scared the same thing will happen to me. I know you're probably thinking I'm a whimp but it's really worrying me. I'm scared I'm going to die. Help me.

Dear Laura, I have checked all your previous questions and think that if you are telling the truth, you should go into the Guinness book of records! one minute you are 16 with lung cancer and then you are 30 years old mother with a serious heart problem with a grandad who is diabetic and a meningitis surviving victim, (not mentioning that you had your daughter at the age of 14 which means that you were also a victim of child molestation) .
I wish people like you could get the psychological help that you need, so you could stop bothering people like me that cares.
You see, my TWO children had meningitis, one was very lucky the other was left with many problems, my dad is diabetic and it is not the end of the world for him and if I look after myself nor it would be for me. I had cancer and survived it. Many people that come here do so for comfort and in some sort of way support, others come here because it gives us a boast to know the answer to some questions.
Whenever you get the urge to write some sad story in here, think that many people DO go through sad times and that liars like you makes us less interested in helping genuine people. Get a life!

When you say you have a serious heart disease, you don't say whether or not the doctor's have said that they can help, and so chances are they can help.
I'm sure there are plenty of people out there experiencing the same thing you are and so you just need to take each day as it comes, or you may worry yourself into an early grave.
Live each day as though it was too precious to let go of and so this will take your mind off it. We're all mean't to go when we're mean't to and so although you've been diagnosed with this, it may not be how you're gonna meet your maker. As regards to being scared of dying, that's natural and the more you think you are, the less likely you are to believe otherwise.

Hello, life is for living, so stop worrying and start living. When you are gonna die you will and not a day before, so worrying about it isn't going to help it. At the end of the day you could get run over by a bus tomorrow while worrying about heart disease couldn't you? And in case you think I am being dead blase, I'm not, it's just that people in my family have a habit of dropping dead very young and very suddenly, and I have had to learn to live with that.

i have no medical knowledge but my thoughts are with you. Worrying about health is so horrible for you. Research has come such a long way in heart disease and I know that if it came to it,it is one organ where they can by-pass its function on a machine while they fix it. Also you are lucky that you have been diagnosed and can get the treatment you need. Many people have heart disease and are unaware. They are not so fortunate. This is all the comfort i can offer. I do hope all will be well with you.x

first of all worrying will only put up your blood pressure and make you feel worse, hopefully your gp has explained treatments and medications. you can get help through british heart foundation or similiar organisation for a chat with people in the same situation as you, my daughter just had heart surgery 14th sept, up and about next day as if nothing has been done not completely cured another op in 5 years time i refuse to wrap her in cotton wool, and carry on as usual, its the best way, go out and enjoy life. dont sit and worry.

I have had four heart attacks, a double by-pass and am waiting to be fitted with an ICD/defib. I have just lost the sight in one eye through a detached retina. I suffer from diabetes, gout, diveticulitus, a ruptured Achilles tendon and failed kidneys. I am still alive, enjoy life and don't intend to give up yet. If 'He' wants me, 'He's' going to have to work at it. We are all going to die. It is the one certainty in life. Just be sensible, obey the 'rules', and enjoy what you have.

Wow meningitis, cancer and now a heart disease. YOU are so unlucky.
I work on a cardiac ward do you want to explain exactly what type of heart disease you have?
No didnt think so.
People on here have better things to do than answer questions to attention seekers.

BULLSH!T

BTW did you realise you were 14 when you had your cancer suffering daughter?

Do research, find out about your condition and what you can do to improve it, if anything. Check out exercise and nutrition and alternative things, like yoga and meditation, not just pills and medication. You will die, like all of us, it's just a matter of time.
You need to figure out how to best take care of yourself so you can extend your life as long as possible. Make sure you have insurance and stuff and a will etc so if something happens to you your daughter will have a good situation. That is my advice.
