I get Cold very often. I have been diagnosed as Allergic to Dust. Kindly advice me as to how to get rid with it? Running nose, mild fever, cough and cold persist due to this(almost all round the year). I am worried if it becomes pernicious with time and tranforming to severe diseases like Asthama etc. Suggest on some precautionary measures and advisory steps to root out this problem.

I used to also be very sickly and have bad allergies. My sickness was caused from my allergies constantly weakening my immune system. So I found that Zyrtec worked wonders with my allergies, and taking the "One A Day" vitamins helped keep me less sick.. Ever since I started this I have only been sick once, and my allergies rarely bother me. :)

i can understand ur condition very well..i myself have been suffering from this since 3 yrs....anti-histamines like Allegra, Cetrizine do help..but as u might also have experienced tht these r not the permanent solution....we only take these medicies when the problem exaggerates..the ppl have already given u alot of advice..among those seems imp. to me r..
1) go for homeopathy ...( with patience...they take time)
2) the yoga as suggested by "mishti" will definetly work....do "Pranyam" which inludes kapal bharti and unlom vilom and 1 more i guess....for this see the baba ramdev videos...although i'm advicing u but i myself have never tried these things coz of my laziness :D
obviously stay away from dust as much as possible..Allergy shots may work...i visited allergy diagnostiing center 1yr ago..but they didn't prescribe me allergy shots...infact the problem is allergy shots are not common in India....ppl fear to take tht..even the doctors do not recommend easily..anyways..apart from these i want to say u couple of things more...
1) inhale steam daily ...before going to sleep is preferable. That really works..
2) for cleaning the nose, use tissue papers rather than water...contact of water to the nose and face worsens the case.

Hope these thing will work. just keep patience..one thing i want to say..if any of these or any other thing helps u ...do tell me...i also need them....hehe..this is funny i know...
All the best !!

You are probably also allergic to more than dust. You should take allergy medicing, ask your doctor about Allegra D, it works for me year round, if I don't take it I end up with a sinus infection and bronchitis. You can try benadryl also, but that stuff knocks me out where the Allegra D does not.

well i had the same problem. its still there, but reduced a lot and i think it'll go soon. i tried homeopathic medicines. and some yoga like kapal bhati and unlom vilom. hey! it really worked. though it takes some time to cure, but it goes for ever with these . if u take allopathic medicines ull be fine within few days, but whats the use ull be soon finding urself ill again. so better try my formula and get rid off of ur all health hazards for ever. best of luck.

It's not a cold....it's allergies. It can feel like you have a cold but you are not contagious.

Talk to your doctor about allergy shots. They can help so much. You'd have to go in once a week, but you will feel so much better.
