I believe in an alternative way of looking at health and illnesses. Their was a man named Rudolph Steiner that had some really unconventional ways of looking at the things that cause the body to manefest stress or emotional problems.

I really do believe (not being mean or a smart-***) that Asthma is caused by emotional repression. As in being held back from self expression and not being able to feel, think, or do for yourself as your internal clock and inner sense of accountability dictates.

Think about it? It is possible.

Asthma, as a physical manefestation of an emotional feeling of being crushed or stifled by someone above you or someone that you are subject unto.

Not to say that it is not a PHYSICAL condition. It SHOULD be treated by a doctor of course... with medication if needed. But the alternative is another way of thinking about how the condition developed to begin with.

Hello i feel your frustration,im 30 and ive had asthma since the age of 3,my mom told me that as soon as we moved to a new city thats when i began to get sick the first time she took me to the doctors the nurse told her that her daughter began to get sick when she moved to this city as well so there clearly is something wrong with that picture,i always had a diffucult time with my asthma during the summer months, than in the winter i finally discoverd it was the humidity ,and i must say that mine was much worst when i was a kid and during my teenage years i cant tell you how many times ive taken a trip to the hospital in an ambulance, but thank god these days its undercontrol, when i was younger i was prescribed proventilin it was the best,as a kid i was giving a liquid and a shot, but then my health insurance stopped covering the proventilin, then they aproved me for ventilin, and if youve ever tried these two you know that the ventilin doesnt work nearly as well as the proventilin.anyway by accident i discovered that motrin tablets (believe it or not ) almost seem to take my asthma away i mean days would past by without me needing to take my active inhaler i felt great and then i began to wonder if there were more going on,because the warning label on the motrin clearly states not to use if you have asthma, but here it was nearly taking away my asthma-go figure, but i stopped using the motrin because i know the effects long term use of drugs can have on your liver .but occasionaly ill take one.so now im taking albuterol an inhaled steriod, and an over the counter primeatene mist, and advair, advair has the same effects on my asthma as motrin, advair works like a dream and while taking the advair theres hardly ever the need for your active inhaler, but they reccomend that the advair be use in conjuction with the inhaled steriod ie;albut.and of course there are warnings with the advair that you need to be aware of before use,so id say talk to your doctor.GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!

In many cases, asthma is aggrivated, if not caused, by allergies. Dust is the most common culprit, so turning your house and especially your bedroom into a dust-free zone is often effective at reducing symptoms. Start by replacing your carpet with a laminate, airing your duvet daily and get non-fabric blinds which can be easily dusted. Hoover daily and think seriously about the severity of your symptoms if you have any pets with fur, especially cats.

do you know the allergen that triggers your asthma? if yes, see if you can have yourself desensitized. it's costly, but worth it. you have to see an allergy specialist and they will inject a substance to you that chemically resembles the allergen. this is done for months, increasing the doses as you progress until you are almost immune or insensitive to the allergen. it doesn't cure the asthma -- it just helps you tolerate the allergen so that you don't get asthma attacks as often.
